FAIR Data Austria project

From January 2020 to December 2022 the University of Vienna took part in the FAIR Data Austria project. Together with five partners universities in Austria (Graz University of Technology, TU Wien, Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, Medical University of Graz and University of Innsbruck) as well as 23 associated partners we developed new data management tools and services for researchers. The project was financed by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Science and Research (BMBWF).

As part of the project, the department Repository Management PHAIDRA Services was

  • designing new needs-oriented training materials and further education courses in the field of research data management,
  • carrying out a needs-assessment of researchers at the University of Vienna and
  • developing concepts for sustainable data stewardship.

The project was completed in 2023.

The University of Vienna with PHAIDRA Services is again partner in the follow-up project "Shared RDM", which will run from 2023 to 2026.
